Rick Warren

Founding pastor of Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, Calif., Rick Warren is passionate about attacking what he calls the five “Global Goliaths” – spiritual emptiness, egocentric leadership, extreme poverty, pandemic disease, and illiteracy/poor education. Following King Solomon’s example in Psalm 72 to use his power and influence to aid those who have no influence and are in need, Rick Warren and his wife “reverse-tithe” the tens of millions of dollars he has earned from the book sales of his book, The Purpose-Driven Life. The Warrens gave 90 percent of their earnings to charities and programs dedicated to starting microfinance and preventing HIV.
